Zuhayr Mallam, the founder of Zak & Zu, grew up loving science and was passionate about using it to make a positive impact on the world. After some career trial and error — with stints in the lab, teaching K-12, and in medical school — he discovered marketing and fell in love with it. Now he enjoys spending his work day thinking about creative ways to use digital media to get innovative technologies into the hands of scientists and clinicians — who can then use them to improve human health, feed our growing population, and more. Of course Zak & Zu is a team effort and, over the years, we have built a strong core of passionate creators, strategists, and technologists who share this mission and a love for science communication.
